AA: But I guess you're not around right now? It would really suck if our sleep schedules ended up being exactly opposite... I feel like I missed so much
AA: Actually can I ask you for some advice whenever you're free
CV: I was just about to contact you. There's been some kind of foul play.
CV: My alchemist told me about an add-on called GristTorrent that allows players to share their earnings, but as it turns out it's already been installed on my computer by some kind of virus. Which is to say, I've been inadvertently sharing my grist with an unknown party.
CV: What I don't understand is how such a virus could have been installed. If it were contained in the code you ran on my computer, Kuviu would have the same problem, but he doesn't.
AA: That's so weird
AA: Sorry I can't help, I don't know anything about computers except a little basic encryption stuff
CV: It's certainly not your fault. The problem is that it isn't possible to do bulk grist transfers, so if I got Kuviu to share with me it would do nothing more than halt the grist drain. Or rather, transfer the drain to him.
AA: I guess you'll have to go to his alchemist directly
CV: It seems so. Unfortunately my mapmaker has disappeared, so it may be difficult to find the gate to his Land.
AA: Can NPCs just go missing?
CV: If I'm honest, I suspect they were abducted by my "evil bodyguard" before Kuviu killed them. At the time I took it for a quest prompt, but that quest only lead to my death.
AA: Yikes
AA: Well maybe one of the Amdaians could help, they seem to be able to get a lot of information about the future
CV: Ugh. Maybe.
AA: You don't like them?
CV: I don't trust them. In fact, they don't even trust each other. CL keeps telling me how shady AC is, but AC also seems to be their only source for a lot of information. So we have untrustworthy information filtered through another untrustworthy agent.
AA: I actually talked to CL a little while ago and I kind of get how you feel now
CV: Wait. You, Pnimm, distrust someone? CL finally passed the shadiness threshold necessary to make *you* doubt them?
AA: }:P
AA: I don't know if I distrust them but they kind of have an attitude
AA: Argh I feel like a mean gossip now
CV: I think you need to raise your standards for what constitutes meanness.
CV: Did they say anything useful or interesting?
AA: Oh tons haha
AA: They told me you already knew about some other versions of our session that were getting erased and how we're supposed to purge the rainbow shade and I guess evacuate our session to THEIR session
CV: ...They didn't tell me most of that. Only the first part. They're so infuriating.
AA: Maybe they're doing a thing to encourage us to share information?
CV: Maybe.
AA: Well the other thing that seemed important was they had a LOT to say about the Dwellers in the Furthest Ring
AA: I told you about my translation project right
CV: A little. As I recall Kuviu had heard rumors about their being dangerous.
AA: Yeah... well CL has too, or like, they already had philosophy on their home planet about them being dangerous? I guess maybe they also had people who entered the Medium before the game actually started and brought back info about the Dwellers
AA: It all seemed kind of abstract, it was about how they don't have names
AA: CL basically tried to order me not to look into them
AA: BUT
AA: I have instructions that I wrote saying I need to finish the translation project after I transcend
CV: Well, I certainly trust you more than I trust CL.
CV: Do you know, they clearly already knew that Kuviu and I were about to die, but they didn't tell us?
AA: That's messed up
AA: If you want to talk to one of the Amdaians about map stuff you could try Tahomaz (lunateAgronomicon)
AA: They were really nice and answered a lot of my questions
AA: In fact most of the questions they can't answer are because *I* wouldn't tell *them* in the future
AA: They even gave me a magic deck of cards! Which I don't completely get yet but it's really powerful
CV: I'd be interested to hear more about that.
AA: Maybe I can just show you!
AA: I'm sitting right next to my dreamself right now actually, so I could transcend and quickly fly over to your planet >:)
AA: OH DUH then you wouldn't have to ask anyone about gates because I could fly you to Kuviu's planet too!
AA: OK I feel like I have a plan now
CV: I'm listening.
AA: I'll transcend, come get you and Ku, and quickly get you to where Ku's dreamself is with whatever awesome powers I end up with
AA: I can even take you to Derse to find your dreamself then finish my translation
CV: Highly efficient.
AA: >:)
CV: I do rather wonder if what we're doing at all resembles normal intended play.
AA: Hmm yeah I feel like we're skipping a bunch of stuff
AA: But it sounds like from what AJ and CL have said that the deck was kind of stacked against us for a "normal" session before it even started
CV: Right. So we "purge" the rainbow shade using this mirror in Kuviu's land and... leave? Why do we need to purge it?
AA: So the next session can be normal I think
CV: Which begs the question of why CL cares so much about that.
AA: Maybe they have friends in that session?
CV: Maybe.
AA: Well, I guess I'll... transcend!
AA: BRB haha
