CL: Good day, are you Yuwen?
CV: Did LL give you my username?
CL: An, not exactly. The events that led us to be conversing at this moment are a little circuitous. But it was Kuviu who gave me your description.
CV: So you're messaging me from the future.
CV: That is, the Kuviu who is my contemporary has not yet become the Kuviu who gave you my contact information.
CL: Exactly! You understand, good. It took me quite some time to grasp the intricacies of using AC's inter-session missive courser.
CV: Why did Kuviu tell you to speak with me?
CL: Well, they didn't. I'm speaking with you for my own reasons. I actually have a question, if you'll permit me to ask it.
CV: Certainly. And in addition, please feel free to ask questions without first asking permission to ask them.
CL: So sorry. I wanted to ask if you awakened your dreamself yet. This is the first time you slept in the game, right?
CV: Why do you ask?
CL: Well, Kuviu helped me awaken my dreamself, so I think it's only decent to return the favor. And since that event is in my past and in your future, in a sense I can help to ensure its happening if you know more about it. Please don't think that I'm trying to take advantage of you. Kuviu's one of the more paranoid people I've met, but they seem to be convinced of our good intentions. That is us, the Amdaians.
CV: A minor point, but if you know Kuviu so well why don't you use the pronouns appropriate to his caste?
CL: I'm not sure what you're talking about.
CV: You say "they" when you're referring to him.
CL: An, I wasn't aware that your people have multiple animate pronouns for non-divine beings. I'll ask the angels to keep it in mind when translating.
CV: I can see that some fascinating cultural differences are afoot. Pnimm will be thrilled. What are angels?
CL: Angels are the messengers of the Name That Is--omnipresent, insubstantial, but very willing to do a kindness for mortals in exchange for a little liquor. Some people say it's not right to treat divine beings that way, but if they didn't want to do it, if they had been commanded not to do it, they wouldn't do it. I think they like bringing messages. I think it's fulfilling for them. Well, in the sense of fulfilling their purpose. But I think in an emotional sense too, if they have emotions we can recognize.
CV: Why did you--the Amdaians--trust us when we contacted you?
CL: AC vouched for Pnimm, both in the present and in the future, as I understand it.
CV: That's it?
CL: I may have my personal \
CL: An, didn't mean to send that. Just a moment.
CL: If we didn't trust AC to a certain extent we wouldn't be in this game at all.
CV: Hm.
CV: I didn't manage to awaken my dreaming self, no. The only advice Kuviu was able to give at the time was to 'open our hearts to dreaming,' which I didn't find particularly helpful. I honestly don't think I was lucid at all.
CL: It doesn't surprise me that he wasn't able to coherently describe what you need to do, since he's always been awake on Prospit's moon. It's a little bit of a spiritual quest to awaken as a dreamer, one he didn't have to make. You may have to confront things you're trying not to look at, you may have to accept some things you don't want to accept. Someone like Kuviu doesn't hide anything from himself, so he's always been one with that other part of himself.
CL: You know, it's a little like the theory of split souls, that every person has another half they're looking for out there, though of course in the case of URWORLD it's two other halves. Thirds, I guess.
CV: You're saying that... Wait, *two* other halves?
CL: Oh, yes. The dreamself and the shade. You're going to meet your shade soon.
CL: Just think about it. Just let it ferment. You've got things to do, and I've got things to do, so I'll leave you with that for now.
CV: I have a lot more questions.
CL: I know. You'll have time to ask them.

CV: All of you people are a little bit infuriating.
