Earlier in their session APOC had begun to suspect that their mentor, DOMESDAY, THE FIRST GUARDIAN OF AMDAI, was nothing more than a tool of Skaia; they concluded that winning the game was a TRAP and would result in ANOTHER UNIVERSE ENSLAVED TO PREDESTINATION. They hoped to get their friends to CREATE AN ENTIRELY NEW UNIVERSE from outside the session.
Domesday realized that if this became a replicable process, potentially NO SKAIA WOULD EVER REPRODUCE AGAIN. She believed that it would be impossible without Zevvie, and arranged for Zevvie's EXECUTION. She used our narrative attention to split the session into Aleph and doomed timelines AFTER ZEVVIE'S DEATH WAS RULED JUST, preventing them from being resurrected in the session.
However, Pnimm had caught Aleph Zevvie inside a TIME LOOP, repeatedly rewinding to before their death even though it had ALREADY BEEN RULED JUST. While in other timelines Zevvie died and was mourned, DWELLIFIED ALEPH APOC used their Bounded powers to freeze Zevvie on the threshold of death and transport them to the Furthest Ring, where Skaia's rulings have no power, and resurrect them.
All the way back in Act 4, AJACT'S RAPID TRANSCENDENCE was arranged by Zevvie's Denizen, KAOS, by giving Zevvie a quest to spread the word about transcendence as far as possible. Zevvie felt they were to blame, but APOC played a much more direct part, switching Ajact between awake and asleep to speed up her quest. Because her quest was so easy, she barely understood her Wind powers when she went to destroy the GLITCH IN HER SESSION, and was almost instantly ERASED FROM EXISTENCE.
When Yuwen was knocked out by the AMDAIAN AGENTS as they fled in their ship, e dreamed that e was at the OMPHALOS OF THE FURTHEST RING, a location that eventually draws everything to it, including the dreaming psyche. There e saw DWELLIFIED APOC in the act of putting Ajact to sleep and, using ir Stone power of RAPIDLY JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS FROM VERY LITTLE DATA, realized that Apoc had purposefully accelerated Ajact's transcendence and EQUATED THIS TO MURDERING HER. Before e could attack, however, Ajact cut her way back into reality (as both she and Pnimm concordantly escaped from their nowhere prisons), bisecting Yuwen's dreaming body and waking em back on ir ship.
Back in the buggy session, PNIMM listened too long into the void and became DWELLIFIED, understanding secrets that ze could not share with anyone. While in this state, ze contacted the FIRST GUARDIAN OF MYDISTRATA and obtained a program that would allow zir and zir friends to talk to the AMDAIAN KIDS. Since then, ze has been trapped in the FURTHEST RING with total freedom of movement but no way to break its substance and create a METAPHYSICAL ANCHOR where "real" travel would be possible.
Any transcended Stone Dreamer is inherently capable of this, but so far everyone we've seen do it has used YGRIT'S STAFF, an artifact left behind by a previous Stone Dreamer and discovered at Kuviu's Mirror.
The DWELLIFIED APOC from the Amdaian ALEPH SESSION got their hands on Ygrit's staff, used it to travel to the OMPHALOS with Aleph Zevvie, and threw it to Pnimm across a distance of eons. Pnimm can use it in combination with their Voidy LOCATION UNCERTAINTY to instantly appear at any point in the Furthest Ring, similar to the idea of probability waves collapsing on observation.
Dwellified Apoc made Aleph Zevvie use their CONCORDANT FRAMING to allow AJACT to escape from oblivion at the same moment Pnimm escaped from the Furthest Ring. However, the first thing Ajact saw was Yuwen accusing Apoc of killing her and then mysteriously evaporating (waking up) as Apoc did some kind of magic. Needless to say, she is pissed.
