Yuwen wants to know how the Furthest Ring absorbs lost things and how they might be found, so you translate that into polite-speak. The Philosophe tells you that all things can be found in the Furthest Ring, even things that never existed at all, but that it's so big that finding anything is statistically impossible. Yuwen points out that the Omphalos makes it relatively easy to find at least something, and then explains the concept to the rapt Philosophe.
The Philosophe is convinced that the Omphalos is a fixed point in space but not time. You ask what the hell does that mean. The Philosophe says that EVERYTHING that does, can, or might exist in any universe will WASH UP THERE EVENTUALLY, but it's impossible to predict when. But theoretically if you got lucky enough to arrive right when it was created and then waited for the REST OF ETERNITY, you would see all of it!
Yuwen appears to be thinking hard.
