Blessings be upon you, my dear Mariyam. I have a request to make of you, and an apology. I cannot be at the source interpreter to speak with you--there is too much still to be done. But I am very proud of all you've accomplished, and all you someday will. Perhaps you are thinking that I could not know what it is you've accomplished, because we never spoke of it, but I read about your arrival in the Medium long ago in the Descent. You may not meet the Rav, but perhaps you have already heard of their doings in the Land of Fountains and Crystal, as they heard of yours. And so, Mariyam, my apology is this--I knew, and I did not tell you, though on the day you left every other person in Midz was preparing to flee. I wanted you to live for a time without that future hanging over you. I hope you can forgive me.

As to my request, it concerns the fate of Midz. The Rav wrote that there were others from Alez Aharoe and Vivid taking shelter in the Medium, but that their situation was precarious because of the war. I do not like to put the people of Midz in such danger, and so my request is--that you find the transportalizer marked with the Rav's mark and bring it with you somewhere safe, as I have brought its twin to Ir Seket. And when you have a safe landing, you and I will meet again.
