Stupid piece of shit doesn't even have any bark shavings. How are you supposed to sleep in this.
Show/Hide Chatlog
VA: btw I know half of you are asleep already but apparently sleeping is how you save in this game.
VA: and it has to be in the shitty empty napcaskets so ku does not count for sleeping on the stairs. sorry ku.
CC: aw
CC: oh yea! i went into the shell around skaia n its full of pretty bones n waterfalls
CC: n glowing crystals!
CC: rn im following the water up 2 c where it comes frm
VA: weird.
CV: Thank you for the update, Kuviu. Ajact, can I assume that you didn't gain this information about the caskets by speaking to NPCs?
VA: hey I talk to npcs.
VA: but yeah I got it from some weirdo who either actually has a time travelling messenger program or is extremely committed to the bit. and claims to be from a different myd on a different planet.
CC: cool!
CV: I...
VA: yeah. right? anyway e told me a bunch of weird shit like their computers run on what sounds like microorganisms, and that you can look at your stats by saying view stats out loud.
VA: apparently we get fast travel if we learn to use our aspects. so it hasn't been entirely useless.
CV: My original question was going to be whether you found out what 'saving' is ontologically in this context but I feel you've raised several more.
CC: whats an aspect
VA: I think it's a natural element your land is kind of themed around. mine's wind. people will call you the dreamer of [whatever aspect].
VA: @yuwen idk like if you
VA: huh
CV: In a game that is entirely on your computer, saving only matters for one of two cases: 1) you want to exit the game and come back later; 2) your character dies or otherwise loses progress.
CC: thos r both sorta good news rite
CV: That's a reassuring way of looking at it.
VA: so we're immortal. sick.
CV: Or we're trapped in an endless loop of mindless slaughter until we fulfill URWORLD's win condition.
VA: woooww. has talking to npcs enlightened you on what that actually is.
CV: I have heard information suggesting that it requires reaching Skaia and "using it to incubate a universe," though I don't know if it's trustworthy. Assuming it is, thanks to Kuviu, we're already further toward that goal than we might be if Skaia weren't 'missing.'
VA: huh wild if true.
VA: k I'm going to sleep though. I'm actually pretty tired. If we were back home we'd be well into the third quarter of today so.
VA: see you guys later.

CC: bye aj!
CV: Having an unsaved game sounds quite dangerous, but before I do the same I'll update everyone--I've obtained a movement upgrade to my cloak through a platforming challenge. So for those of you who were wondering why we have to wear these, that's the reason.
CC: theyre also comfy >:)
CV: True. Anyway, if you consult your mapmaker to find places where you could get stuck on the far side of a chasm or similar, that might help you locate this particular challenge. It allows you to glide, extending your horizontal reach.
CC: >:O
CV: Not that it's very exciting for you, since you can fly.
CC: well when i wake up itll be nice
CV: All right. I'm going to find a napcasket. Stay safe, Kuviu.
